Automation Expert
Join a global leader in life sciences at our client’s state-of-the-art site in Switzerland. Work with the automation team on tech transfers, new technology introductions, and large-scale manufacturing projects that make a real difference to global health.
This is a 12-month contract position offering the chance to collaborate with industry experts in a cutting-edge technical environment.
The role
As an Automation Expert, you will own automation activities that enable reliable, compliant, and efficient operations. You will lead change initiatives, provide technical input, and deliver solutions that strengthen manufacturing capability.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update automation specifications
- Perform off-line and on-line coding, testing, and peer reviewing
- Design, develop, and execute Automation Change Records (ACRs), Quality Change Records, and qualification/commissioning documentation
- Act as automation lead for unit operations, resolving issues and driving change on complex projects
- Assess proposed changes and evaluate discrepancies during operations
- Troubleshoot process, equipment, and system failures
- Contribute to site-level automation standards and policies
- Implement new approaches to improve quality and efficiency
What you bring
We are hiring for two positions with complementary expertise:
- DeltaV focus: strong knowledge and hands-on experience with DeltaV DCS in regulated environments
- MES PharmaSuite focus: strong knowledge and experience in MES PharmaSuite implementation and integration
For both positions:
- Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Process Control, or related Engineering field
- Experience with automation projects in life sciences or regulated industries
- Familiarity with GMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11
- Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills
- Business-fluent English
